Help for User ID and Web Password
With which user ID / password do I have to log on?
On the log-on page of the Web login you are requested to enter your user ID and your Web password.
Employees of Daimler AG and external persons with access to the Intranet of Daimler AG can find their user IDs in Who Is Who.
Note: You can access the Who Is Who of Daimler AG only if your are working within the Intranet of Daimler AG.
As a Daimler AG authorized dealer and partner, you will receive your user ID from the contact person responsible for you. When the partner user account was created, the user ID was additionally e-mailed to you. You require your Web password to log on. You can modify this password in the Password Administration or reset it, if required.
How do I know which password to use for login?
The icon displayed on the login page of the Web login indicates which password you need to use for login.
Applications that can be accessed over the Internet require you to use your Web password. These applications are identified by the following icon:

Applications that can only be accessed over the Daimler AG Intranet require you to use your Who Is Who password. These applications are identified by the following icon:

You will also find these icons in the Password Administration, where they are used to distinguish between Web password and Who Is Who password.
You don't know your user ID?
Employees of Daimler AG and external persons with access to the Intranet of Daimler AG can find their user IDs in Who Is Who.
To do this, launch Who Is Who and look for your own entry. Under "User ID", you can find the user ID assigned to you.
Note: You can access the Who Is Who of Daimler AG only if your are working within the Intranet of Daimler AG.
As an authorized dealer and partner of Daimler AG, please consult the contact person responsible for you in order to obtain your user ID.
You don't know your initial password?
As an authorized dealer, you can find out your password from your contact person or from the person responsible for the application.
As a partner of Daimler AG, please proceed as described in section
"You have forgotten your Web password?".
Employees of Daimler AG and external persons with access to the Intranet of Daimler AG do not have an initial password. Instead, they will define a valid Web password when activating their Internet access in the Intranet of Daimler AG.
You cannot log on using your initial password?
You cannot log on to an application using your initial password. It is needed, however, to set a valid Web password in the Password Administration.
Employees of Daimler AG and external persons with access to the Intranet of Daimler AG do not have an initial password. Instead, they will define a valid Web password when activating their Internet access in the Intranet of Daimler AG.
You have forgotten your Web password?
If you have forgotten your Web password, you can reset it via the following link:

To do this, you must have set a personal passphrase beforehand. If you have not set a personal passphrase so far, you will be directed to an alternative process if you are an authorized dealer or partner of Daimler AG.
Employees of Daimler AG and external persons with access to the Intranet of Daimler AG who have not set a personal passphrase can reset their Web passwords only from within the Intranet of Daimler AG.

Your Web password has expired?
For security reasons, any password will only be valid for a limited period of time. As a result, you will be requested to modify the initial password immediately. All other Web passwords will have to be modified within a maximum of 30 days.
If your Web password has expired, it can no longer be used to log on to any application. The Web password can then be modified only in the Password Administration.

Your Web password has been blocked?
If you enter your Web password incorrectly several times, your Web password will be blocked for a specific period of time. During this time, you will be unable to log on to any application, even if you use the correct Web password. You can, however, reset your Web password even if it has been blocked via the following link:

Your log-on attempt has failed?
If you receive the "The log-on attempt has failed!" message upon logging on, this may be due to several reasons. On the log-on page you can find the various reasons which may have caused your log-on attempt to fail in this case. Please make sure, first of all, that you did not make any spelling mistakes when you entered your user ID and Web password.
The following reasons may cause your log-on attempt to fail:

If you enter the Web password incorrectly several times, your Web password will be blocked for a specific period of time. It will automatically be reactivated after 16 hours.

Your user account has been blocked. If you are an employee of Daimler AG, please contact the human resources department responsible for you. All other persons should consult their contact persons at Daimler AG.

Your user account has not been activated for the access over the Internet (does not apply to the user accounts of authorized dealers and partners of Daimler AG). Please use the Password Administration to activate your user account for the access over the Internet. This is only possible, however, if you are currently working within the Intranet of Daimler AG.

Your user account has not yet been activated (only for Daimler AG partner user accounts). Please activate your user account via the link e-mailed to you when your user account was created. If you have not received this e-mail, please consult your contact person at Daimler AG.
You don't have access authorization?
A successful log-on does not automatically mean that you have access to a specific application. If the log-on was successful i.e. you do not receive the message "The log-on attempt has failed!" and you cannot access the requested application, please contact the (support) person responsible for this application.
